LAD #7
Jefferson's inaugural speech was full of self doubt. Not really self doubt , but the appearance and humbleness of it. He say that he see the job as legal administrator of the United States as one of the biggest things he has ever taken up. Jefferson say he will stay within the laws provided by the constitution and make the country a place where generations in the future will have room and a country to live. He also speaks a lot about fixing problems with the administration. This I take as his anti-federalist motives still talking. He speaks to the people to understand that he want to do good for the country, which every inaugural speech says, that he wants to leave office with the same support as he entered it with. He wants to protect the country from European countries who will surely take advantage. He believes that the nation should have a goal full of morals and not unforeseen glory beyond the horizon.
